About Illuminations by Maria
Illuminations by Maria emerged from a dark and transitional period in my life when it felt like everything was coming to an end. During this time of uncertainty, I lacked insight, hope, and clarity about the future. It was in this darkness that God revealed a new perspective, realigning my vision to see the beauty He created in nature. What began as a photography project transformed my outlook, instilling hope and reshaping my life. This journey not only rekindled my creative expression but also deepened my relationship with God, away from the noise of the world.
Over the past decade, Illuminations by Maria has grown into a vibrant space, driven by a desire to inspire, encourage, and reinvigorate others through encounters with God. This space is a testament to that divine encounter, offering faith-based and mental health-focused t-shirts, photography, and coloring books to uplift and heal.

ABOUT ME
I am a dedicated mother of four, a loving wife, and the passionate creator behind Illuminations by Maria. With over 15 years in the mental health field as a licensed therapist and nearly 20 years of ministry experience, I have dedicated my life to helping others achieve healing and wholeness. My greatest role is being a daughter of God, and my purpose is to journey with believers to a healed place in Christ. I desire to help believers mature into sons of God and become effective in His kingdom, equipped for the work He has called them to do.
I currently serve as an overseer and pastor of the kingdom space called The Gathering Space (TGS), a discipleship center and a church within the community, with members from across the country.
As an author and artist, my work intertwines my faith journey with my professional expertise. My creations are not just products; they are reflections of my commitment to spreading light, hope, and the love of God. Through Illuminations by Maria, I continue to inspire others to overcome their challenges and embrace their stories, all while giving glory to God.
Personal Mission Statement
My mission is to lead people to the knowledge of Christ and to help them grow in deeper maturity, becoming in Christ rather than just coming to Christ. Whether through teaching, writing, or creative expression, my overarching goal is to guide others on this transformative journey. I am committed not only to teaching these principles but also to embodying them in my own life, ensuring that my journey of becoming in Christ serves as a platform for His glory.
